Privacy Policy
At MyToolDock, privacy is not a feature — it is our architectural foundation. Read how we protect your personal and processing data.
1. Browser-First Data Policy
Unlike traditional web utilities, MyToolDock operates under a strict client-side model. When you perform tasks like compressing images, merging PDFs, counting words, or parsing JSON, all data processing takes place locally on your device. We do not upload your text, files, images, or documents to our servers, meaning we cannot read, analyze, sell, or store your data.
2. Local Storage and Preferences
We use standard browser localStorage and sessionStorage to retain user preferences. This is limited to:
- Selected user interface theme (Light Mode vs. Dark Mode).
- Chosen accent color parameters.
- Lightweight search index caches for faster autocomplete results.
You can clear this preference data at any time by wiping your browser cookies and site data.
3. Cookies and Analytics
MyToolDock does not set tracking cookies. If third-party tools like Google Analytics or CDN services are integrated, they collect basic visitor traffic trends (e.g. browser type, geographical region) without linkable personal identifiers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings with zero impact on tool functionality.
4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Since we do not collect, process, or store personal documents or identification details on our servers, MyToolDock natively satisfies the fundamental tenets of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have complete control over your data because it never leaves your computer.
5. Policy Changes
We may revise this privacy policy from time to time to accommodate new tools or safety integrations. The latest version will always be posted here with an updated revision date.
